Oh, but I have a question. Is PVP only for one person against another as the term suggests, or was there an option in CBT to have a 2 vs. 2 or more?

Dunno.
I suppose if there's no option for team battles, we could run a 1v1 tennis-style match.

Of course, we'd have to account for the differing levels between players. A fun little idea that could use a little cultivating once the real game comes out.(or OBT/late CBT:II)

electricity is a kick ass element and if you were to have fire, ice, music (it kinda wrecks the hole nature theme you got going with the other 2 elements ) so fire, ice , electricity sounds like a good way to go imo ... =]

Plus, the music as well. And I must say, it's kickass.

what about wind? or earth? I think those would be better then music. :/
then we would have the four elements anyways. I got an idea, what about blood?

hm, not really. it just doesn't fit Overdrive imho.
I'd prefer water, wind, earth, blood, shadow, dark, purity, light, and metal before music.

I see music as being a legitimate element. Maybe, not orthodox, but it's a nice idea to change it up once in a while.

Plus, walter's wk forum id is musical

I never intended to only release different elements.

Just banners/headers/signatures in general.


The idea of Overdrive representing different elements comes from you guys

well, i know the idea was just for banner/header/sigs.
but the thread is named next element

I like your work, the best being the fire one.
But the music one, while it is good and I do like it, doesn't really spout the awesomeness of Overdrive (imo that is)

I guess you would like to keep the aggressive touch?

So that people don't think: "Oh, an Overdriver - nice header in your forum."

But this: "Watch out! OVERDRIVE is coming!! Run! They'll kill us! WTFOMFGBBQ!"


The music header looks more funky and peaceful.
While it still looks good, it doesn't have this intense aura.
It's expressing: "Lean back, chill, listen to music ~~"


I thought about making a bloody one also. I already got some ideas in store for that one.

I dunno what it is that makes me single out the music one. and its not the aura.
I mean it looks good and all. It just doesn't seem Overdrive to me though for some reason. D:
Either its something like it gives me an un original feel, or its too complex for a laid back feel, or that i never liked ddr, or its not cool(relaxed) enough colors. I just don't know. It could be any of those reasons or not.

I think the retro style just doesn't fit the word "Overdrive" that well.
Overdrive symbolizes something cool and intense.
If I would use a black background, make the header more simple and take out the woman and the swirly stuff on the left side, this picture would have a different effect.

I also wouldn't really like to create a header with small cute bunnies if the guild is called "Rampage"
It just ... doesn't seem to fit. Even if the header itself looks cool and well-made.

I wouldn't really consider music to be an element. Well, that's just me.

The traditional elements would be Fire, Earth, Air, and Water. Everything else I believe came from Pokemon. Perhaps the poll should be changed to "next theme."

And I guess they sorta do come from pokemon.

Pokemon had an "oriental" element? Other than it originating in Japan... But like... a pokemon with the element of "orientalness"? (Yay. New word.)

Not really, but Falco didn't have a better term for it. But, how would you name it? Perhaps normal?
I mean most of the elements kinda came from Pokemon I guess.

Exceptions would be musical and oriental.
