| For the RPG lovers, interested in the Final Fantasy series? If so, I assume you already know about Final Fantasy: Dissidia and Final Fantasy XIII. IF not, then you sir are living under a rock. Both games should be released next year, so for now it's the waiting game. I've played the Japanese version of Dissidia and let me say that it's more of a Strategy/Action-RPG sort of game. You move on a board and then you engage the enemy on a separate map and you press buttons to attack guard etc. It's like Kingdom Hearts or a fighting game in that sense.
For those shooter-savvy fans I think you know of the Halo 3 series. Next month on September 22, is when the game Halo: ODST makes it's debut. If you get the special edition for an extra 40$ you get the Halo ODST controller. It's basically buying another controller anyway for that 40$ but people you know...
Horror lovers, I don't like the genre very much I guess the only one I have is Resident Evil 5 on the Xbox 360. It's fun but kind of short, and there's not much I would want to replay again. You'd have to play the entire game twice to get all the rank levels listed as completed, and they're hard. Co-OP really is the way to go in this one.
RTS: Umm Halo Wars? Sorry not a fan of this Genre.
Action: Dead or Alive 4. I played my brother's game of this and it simply kicks-ass. There is a lot to break, the environments are really vibrant, and the moves are interesting. Unfortunately I just button mash my way through these things so I never get very far with them.
If you want to add me on Xbox Live, my gamertag is Aerosophical
I just got my red ring of death fixed too =D

| I'm pretty partial towards rpg's. I've given a plethora of final fantasy games a shot. Only ever finished VIII and VII, though. Dissidia looks more like tekken-meets-RPG-with-FFcharacters. Sounds like a failure of an idea. PSP fails as well. My favorite genre is rts though. The Civilization's are good as well. I could never get deep into them though. Too stagnant. lolHaloWars? How could you not have heard of StarCraft and its sequel | |

| I don't know but I really do not dabble in that genre... I think command and conquer is one as well. But I'm more of a dive-in action sort of person. I can't just command troops and watch them play it out for me. I have to be one of the soldiers.
PSP has decent graphics, better than the DS at least. I'm loving Burnout Legends on the PSP right now.

| I have both. I love the DS lite more for it's actual portability. Plus the games are amazing. The psp is okay, but the games seem to be lacking. Plus, sony comes out with a "new" model every few months or so. Tweaking this and that, and selling it as an upgrade.
My psp tends to collect dust in my closet nowadays, being outdated by three "generations."

| I know what you mean. I put my PSP away for a year and then it turns out two more versions came out. The slim, I guess is thinner but the 3000 looks big and bulky as ever. I only take it out when something big released, like Crisis Core.
The DS has some games I like like Luminous Arc and Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon. I have the original DS and it seems everyone has a DS Lite, or in some cases, the DSI. Not that it really matters anyway.

| Mine hasn't broken down, but it did get my DS game cartridge stuck. The good news is that it's an R4 chip, so I don't have to worry about not being able to play the games I didn't already have.
On a side note... this is the first time I ever saw that emoticon Sasquatch O.o.

| Its a sadness that is unworthy of being expressed by normal emoticons. I've hadsome good times with my DS and the L and R failed a while ago, now the sound is breking up now and then. I want a new one but it wouldn't be the same. Though I'll probly give in when mario and luigi 3 comes out. (I also want Soul Silver)... Now I just remeberer when I lost my GBC :C (I had a GBA at that point but the my teal GBC was my first video game console0 and my dragon warrior III was in it. ( almost beaten too) At least I still have my Pokemon Silver ( first game). | |

| I like many different genres. But I guess RPGs would be my favorite one as long as it has a great storyline. I played some FinalFantasy games on PSOne and PS2, but some of my top favorites on PC are "Oblivion" and "The Witcher" (mostly the latter). | |

| You two should get the DS lite. It's actually a few steps up from the original. Unlike PSP 2000. (Ironic, considering the fact lite sounds like much less of an upgrade than 2000) I'm not getting the DSi though. I've heard it doesn't play GBA games A shame, seeing how sexy it looks. | |

| I don't know about that though, shelling out like what, 100$ for another DS with the same functionality.
DSI has a camera and the option to download games like the WII I believe. Depends on the user if that really makes up for it though.
