Yeh, it's back, and badder than ever. One of the sickest guild names ever, we accept people who are willing to be chill back while still grinding and increase their status in WK. No level requirements, just be cool and be chill to talk to.

Since the guide looks horrible here because of the bad MBBS code and background, give your eyes a rest and look at it here:

If not, look below.

I am Musical, Barrage is my WK IGN.

OTHER NOTES:
Many people are also using this to help them a little bit with there Gunner, and that's fine.

CREDITS:
Credits to Silent and Legends for info on builds and supplying pictures
Credits to Ixilian and Laugh for pre-req parts.

And most importantly Iacoopa for helping me with this guide.

Welcome to my official Bowman guide! This guide will surely help you take the right path and make your character as best as possible from Scout to Ranger and beyond. I am constantly updating this, and we will see what new updates the next phase has for us.

Max HP/MP have been added in, but I am still experimenting with it. I also added a little section for a VIT build since when you start training, it will get harder to grind effectively with low HP.

All-in-all, we just have to wait for the next phase to max the potential of the guide, so stay tuned.

============================================

[Guide] The First Scout/Archer/Ranger Guide Musicalsbannerbasics

The best build for a Bowman is to go full dex. Easy enough, right? Just always add Dex, nothing else. Why? Sure you will have low HP and MP, but that is where range comes in. You will deal the highest damage to your abilities if you follow my guide, just try not to get hit. ^^

As a bowman, you are one of the best classes in the beginning due to damage and range. It will be fairly easy to level up as long as you follow my guide.

I would also like to state some basic tips for any character. There is a way to dash while spinning on your second jump. Let's say you jump with ALT and dash with you arrow keys. If you press ALT, then arrow key ( left or right ), ALT, and arrow key, you can dash while spinning in the air. Useful for dodging enemies and a neat trick to do. You can also use other archer skills like 3 Shots while in the air.

Another tip as an archer is how the arrows shoot. If you stand while shooting, you will shoot one arrow, then a tiny delay, and then two arrows. If you kneel while shooting, it will be a constant motion of one arrow after another. You can also jump and shoot, good for getting enemies while avoid them.

3 Shots has been fixed, so all three arrows will hit. Very Happy
============================================

[Guide] The First Scout/Archer/Ranger Guide Musicalsbannerskillbuildforscout-2

This is probably the section that I will get the most disagrees, flaming, yadda yadda. As I said, I will be updating this as skills change so please, no negative comments. I would love to hear constructive comments and hear your ideas on skills so I can make this guide better.

CBT IV Scout/Archer Build

I recommend this out of all the other because Wind Force is useless in my opinion when you can save the rest of the SP to get Sharp Eyes earlier and have sweet damage earlier.

Level 2: Save 2 SP
Level 3: Save 2 SP
Level 4: Save 2 SP
Level 5: Triple Shot (5), Save rest of SP
Level 6: Save 2 SP
Level 7: Save 2 SP
Level 8: Save 2 SP
Level 9: Save 2 SP
Level 10: Sharp Eye (13)
Level 11: Sharp Eye (15)[MAXED]
Level 12: Wind Force (2)
Level 13: Wind Force (4)
Level 14: Wind Force (5), Stone Hammer (1)
Level 15: Quick Shot (1)
Level 16: Quick Shot (2)
Level 17: Quick Shot (3)
Level 18: Quick Shot (4)
Level 19: Quick Shot (5)
Level 20: Focus (2)
Level 21: Focus (3), Save 1 SP
Level 22: Backstep (1)
Level 23: Backstep (2)
Level 24: Backstep (3)

You would normally now save the SP for your next advancement, but since in CBT IV there is a wipe, use your SP up for whatever you would like.

NOTE: I think that adding more points into Soul of Order later on in the higher levels would actually be good, but I am not up to there yet.
NOTE: Put one point into Rest whenever you'd like.

============================================

[Guide] The First Scout/Archer/Ranger Guide Musicalsbannerscouttrainingspots-2

CBT IV ONLY

Level 1 - Do the first two guys quests w/ scarecrows. Then move on.

Level 1~2 - Talk to the guy, buy the potion, finish the quest, and you should level up to 2.

Level 2~3 - Get a clear CH and fight all the Pumas on the map. Once you have defeated all of them, you should have around 80%, so talk to the girl on top. Do the quest, right click that guy, and level up to 3

Level 3~4 - Talk to Fay, kill 5 leaf pumas, and level up. Then, talk to her again and defeat the blue and red pumas. After you have done that, go talk to Draff in Elgaill.

Level 4~6 - Talk to Draff and finish the Fay Quest to level again. Then talk to Draff about the mining. Go down to the gopher NPC and do all three of his quests. Buy 10 pickaxes, press B, and leave the comp. Get a drink or something, I got some chocolate milk, and when you come back you just be done mining.

Level 6~8 - You should be level 6 by now. Talk to the item shop NPC Shue and do the Farm Intruders quest.
Go to Farm II and snipe off the carrots from the platform. Pick up all the carrots you find, because you need them for a future quest. You can also get the ones of the bottom floor. When you are done DO NOT GO BACK TO ELGAILL LIKE I HAVE DONE MANY TIMES. The farmer is RIGHT THERE, talk to him and finish the quest. I leveled to 7 while fighting the carrots, and then leveled to 8 once I finished the quest.

Level 8 - Farm Intruders II. Almost at that 10 mark. Kill 10 carrots and wrigglies. Easy. For the carrots, just stay at Farm II and snipe them off platforms. For the wriggleys, you should go back to Farm I and just hit them along with the pumas.

Level 8~9 - Now to get to 9, just train on some monsters since you should be close to leveling.

Level 9~10 - Talk to James and Andy to do the quests. You should have 10 carrots already, so just get 10 eggs from fighting the Blue Easter Bunnies. The two quests work well together. Teleport to Dioraf Bridge, and move into the left portal to the Forest of Spirits II. Try to find a good spot and just mash those bunnies with your arrows.

Levels 10~16 - Wind Cliff I, Wind Cliff II, Wind Cliff III, Wind Cliff IV, Wind Cliff V

If you had to follow at least one part of this guide, it would be this. I RECOMMEND THIS SO MUCH THAT IF YOU DON'T DO THIS YOU ARE STUPID. Believe me, this training is FAST. I gained 7% a monster when training on the Pony Dogs and Scorpions around level 13. Once you get to 16, it will get slow though. Other then that this is godly exp.

Levels 16~18 - Wind Cave

A little short training place to get to level 18. Any monster here is decent exp. This is the levels where training won't be so easy.

Levels 18~22 - Beehive V

You will have to do the pre-quests with the girl bee outside the Beehive entrance before you can fight the boss.

This is where leveling, again, will get much tougher. Bossing at Rambong will be the best thing for you. You will have to aim for 10% each kill or more. If you don't reach this goal you either have to limit the people in your party or try a different training spot. Try to get a good party too. When your level 18, the more people the better. But once you are 24-25, two people max or the exp will suck. Hope this is clear.

Level 22~26 - Wind Cave Purification Quests, The Originator

Having trouble doing the quest? Click here for support.

Debrak's power has been magnified, so not really a good choice to farm off him. Of course, do the nine quests. Great exp and items. You will probably gain two levels in the process of doing it. Try and find a buddy who is doing the same thing, you can usually find one fairly easy to help fasten the finishing of quests.

Levels 26~30 - Lind Hawk's Nest

After the Wind Cave quests, teleport to the Docks. Go to the left portal and farm off the big bird hero named Lind Hawk. Once you defeat him, cc, rinse, wash, repeat. The sailor guy Talon has a quest called "No one can stop us!" where he will give you 8k exp if you defeat the hawk, so by all means do so. This will get hard at level 29, and I call this one the hell levels because many things were nerfed and changed.

Congrats! You are finally done with the three hell levels and onto being an Archer. Sail your way to Francis Town as you will now be training on a new island for the rest of your WK career. A complete first job advancement guide can be found Here

============================================

[Guide] The First Scout/Archer/Ranger Guide Musicalsbannerarcher

So you are finally an Archer. The builds will change now because monsters are tougher and you need some HP. Follow the build and when it says to change your normal Dex raising, do so.

I am sorry for being vague in some spots, I have not gotten past 31 so all this info is from Iacoopa.

Just remember one thing, parties make leveling extremely fast as the more people, the more exp you gain ( relatively )

FAQ

Q. Why not put any points into HP MAX?

A. In my opinion, save your skill points for more important skills. I say instead of using your skill points, use your stat points.

To view all of the archer skills, click here.

The GM's are still discussing if the reset of SP will take place in the next version, so the best I can do is make a CBT IV guide. Once OBT comes I will make a OBT Guide, etc. until they have stopped testing and we are out of beta.

[U][Guide] The First Scout/Archer/Ranger Guide Musicalsbannerarcherintro

When you regain all of your SP after you advance, just redo the build over. Razz Once you do that, you should have some points left over. See "Level 30" to know what to do with your leftover SP.

( I think I messed up on the SP so tell me if you still have SP left over or you don't have enough )

Level 30: Leaf Shield (Cool, Spirit Beam (1), Soul Of Order (1)
Level 31: Spirit Beam (2)
Level 32: Spirit Beam (3)
Level 33: Stone Hammer (3)
Level 34: Potion Plus (2)
Level 35: Potion Plus (4)
Level 36: Potion Plus (5), Save 1 SP
Level 37: Soul Of Order (2)
Level 38: Soul Of Order (3)
Level 39: Save 2 SP
Level 40: Nature's Arrow (1), Flower of Recovery (1), Binding Trap (3)
Level 41: Nature's Arrow (3)
Level 42: Nature's Arrow (5)
Level 43: Save 2 SP
Level 44: Save 2 SP
Level 45: Save 2 SP
Level 46: Save 2 SP
Level 47: Save 2 SP
Level 48: Pollen Burst (5), Triple Ray (4)
Level 49: Pollen Burst (7)
Level 50: Pollen Burst (Cool, Save 1 SP ( I put rest here )
Level 51: Triple Ray (5)
Level 52: Triple Ray (6)
Level 53: Triple Ray (7)
Level 54: Triple Ray (Cool
Level 55: Save 2 SP
Level 56: Save 2 SP
Level 57: Save 2 SP
Level 58: Save 2 SP
Level 59: Save 2 SP
Level 60: Cyclone Arrow (5)
Level 61: Cyclone Arrow (6)
Level 62: Cyclone Arrow (7)
Level 63: Cyclone Arrow (Cool
Level 64: Cyclone Arrow (9)
Level 65: Cyclone Arrow (10)
Level 66: Cyclone Arrow (11)
Level 67: Cyclone Arrow (12)
Level 68: Cyclone Arrow (13)
Level 69: Cyclone Arrow (14)
Level 70: Cyclone Arrow (15)
Level 71: Triple Ray (9)
Level 72: Triple Ray (10)
Level 73: Triple Ray (11)
Level 74: Triple Ray (12)
Level 75: Triple Ray (13)
Level 76: Triple Ray (14)
Level 77: Triple Ray (15)
Level 78: Binding Trap (5)
Level 79: Binding Trap (Cool
Level 80: Flower of Recovery (3)

============================================

So in the end you should have: ( for those who have different SP points and can't follow )

Leaf Shield (Cool
Triple Ray[Now Arrow Barrage] (15)
Cyclone Arrow (15)
Binding Trap (Cool
Nature's Arrow (Cool
Soul of Order (3)
Spirit Beam (3)
Pollen Burst (Cool
Potion Plus (5)
Flower of Recovery (3)

If you don't have enough SP to cover all of them, it doesn't matter. It's CBT so it will get wiped in the end. Also, 1 or 2 SP doesn't make that much of a difference.

===========================================

Congrats, you are a Ranger now! Sadly you had to use all of your SP and cannot have a new ranger skill until 81, but fear not as you have finally conquered archerhood. Except now you have to do the advancement test. A walkthrough can be found Here

PLEASE, I am looking for new testers. Try this build out and see if you like it. I have gathered as much info as possible but you can never know unless you actually use it. If you are using the Archer Build, PM me on your progressions so far. I would love to hear your comments and suggestions. Thanks for reading, I think this is all for now.

[Guide] The First Scout/Archer/Ranger Guide Musicalsbannerarchertrainingspots-2

=================
Level 30~40 - Giant Potion I
=================

In the early levels it will be easy, and then as you get towards 35 it will slow down. Just hang in there, its better then Lind Hawk in my opinion. Using your new skills such as Leaf Shield and Spirit Beam along with your others one will make things go by faster. Watch out for the Dufongs when they hit, it will probably take out around 3/4 of your HP.

Tip: As I said before, WK PARTIES MAKE LEVELING SO MUCH EASIER. Find a guild, find a buddy, just party and train, and it will go by quicker and less painful.

=================
Level 40~50 - Giant Potion III
=================

Now, I am being very broad here with the level range. The sharks here give amazing exp, so test it out yourself and see how long you want to train here. Personally, I trained here from level 45-49 and it was pretty good exp.

Try and get the platforms with the most sharks and monsters, then just mob them out.

=================
Level 40~45 - Mushroom Hill II/III
=================

When I first found this place, it was gold. Crang was getting boring and I needed a new place to train, then BOOM: I found this place. At early 4x, it is amazing exp with the multiple amount of mobs. However, it tends to dry out fast. After I found out that this place was getting pretty slow, I just grinded out on GP3 until I got Pollen Burst and Triple Ray.

MH2 and 3 have different map geography so find which one works best with you. At II, I stayed at the top and mobbed the ladybugs and caterpillars. At III, I pretty much stayed on the right side because the Mad Women were on the left. Stay away from them, there exp sucks.

=================
Level 49+ - Hellen Kunta
=================

These are where the Dark and Hallow Waters are; right past MH3. I am currently level 49 and at this stage and it is pretty hard since they can't get poisoned. Plus, once your stunned, its over. I am also trying questing from the Spike Kids at Single Evidence I, so try that out. It's not that bad IMO.

haha nice guide, though if quick shot was piercing i say get it. description says it is,
either it's a miss spell (all it does is knock back 1 monster) or it's glitch.

and that Wind Cave boss is glitch so it won't attack you but that might
get fixed in close beta 2, plus he has a shitz load of hp......

and do you know if land mines hit multiple monsters?

Quick Shot takes up 8 arrows though.
Wind Cave is still amazing exp.

Land mines...I don't know, we will find out in CBT II.

That's the only true build to go with, I guess (if you want to get the full potential of the class).
I had the same build with my archer.
I would also write a guide about the archer once the time comes, but we have already 2! I think I'll pass Very Happy

I did mines a little different but thats a nice bulid i did every other lvl 5 luck and dex and from 1 - 30 5 Vit and 5 dex and the skills i just choose what i wanted but i dont agree with soul of order that move is garbage to me it doesnt do to much dex to worry about wasting the points in.
